1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what brought you to PayStream?
I have worked in the umbrella and accountancy industry since 2013. Ever since I was 18 years old I’d worked in Customer Service, but during the pandemic I decided I’d like to try something new. A job was advertised at PayStream within their Compliance team and I thought it was the perfect opportunity, I haven’t looked back since.
2. What is a typical day at PayStream like?
It’s very varied! I can be working on HR projects one day and the next dealing with PayStream’s recruitment and new starters, it’s very fast paced which is something I quite like. I also help the rest of the team complete any projects they have. We’re a very close knit team and I am constantly learning.
3. How does PayStream compare to your previous workplaces?
The management team at PayStream have really encouraged my development and had a real positive influence on how I lead my team. PayStream aren’t afraid of ideas and will embrace new suggestions, which is something that only makes us better.
4. What three words would you use to describe PayStream?
Collaborative, fun, diverse. The three go hand in hand and make PayStream such an enjoyable place to work.
5. What do you enjoy most about working at PayStream?
Simply the culture. Since moving into HR, I’ve gained a much better understanding of how important this is to the company. We continually look at what we can do to change, improve and grow the culture throughout PayStream and I really enjoy being part of that.
6. What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I am half Fijian so I have been bought up with two very different cultures which I am very proud of. I’m lucky enough to have experienced the best of both!
7. What are your favourite things to do outside of work?
Definitely travelling (although it has been a bit hard recently)! My favourite place to go in the world is America – there’s so much to see and do! However, now my daughter is a bit older and not wanting to be follow her Mum and Dad around, it’s time to start planning different holidays, how exciting!
