Amy initially joined PayStream at the tender age of 17, working in our Accountancy services department an accounts assistant. Fast forward 15 years and she’s now our Accounts Service Manager. Her main focus is to work alongside our Accountancy teams to ensure they provide our limited company contractors with the quality service that they’ve come to expect, as well as improve their PayStream experience wherever possible. We wanted to find out a little more about Amy and her PayStream journey so far…

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what brought you to PayStream?

I started at PayStream over 15 years ago as an Accounts Assistant. They gave me the opportunity to do an accounts apprenticeship and I’ve never looked back since.

2. What is a typical day at PayStream like?

Every day is different, but my main goal is to support our accounts teams to ensure that our Accountancy clients are receiving a truly outstanding service. As well as that, an important part of my role is to obtain feedback from our contractors in order to further improve our service. This feedback helps us to improve our processes, training and overall customer service.

3. How does PayStream compare to your previous workplaces?

I think our culture is quite hard to find in other companies. It is a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment. My colleagues are not only warm and approachable, but also have a positive mind-set and are just easy to get along with.

4. What do you enjoy most about working at PayStream?

The people and our clients! I adore every single member of my team and everyone else in our office. They are all genuine and amazing people and it’s a pleasure to work with them and watch them progress in their careers.

5. What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I coach a kid’s football team, the under 8’s Lionesses! We’re currently unbeaten too, I’m aiming to be the next Pep!

6. What are your favourite things to do outside of work?

Gym, walking/hiking and cycling. I love my bike but I tend to stick to the gym during the winter months. I love spending time with my friends whether that’s at bottomless brunch or on a day out with all the kids!
