Ruairi Long's PayStream journey

Ruairi works as an Agency Support Advisor. He is an ambassador for PayStream with strong knowledge of all aspects of our products and services. Ruairi maintains relationships with a number of recruitment agencies, developing strong and trusted relationships via a combination of email and inbound & outbound calls. We wanted to find out a little more about Ruairi and his PayStream journey.

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what brought you to PayStream?

I previously worked as an Account Manager for a Brewery, but quickly realised this wasn’t the industry I wanted to pursue a career in. I found out about PayStream via a recruiter and liked the look of the company and the industry as a whole. I love the 'family' culture here at PayStream which helps to make it such an enjoyable place to work.

2. What is a typical day at PayStream like?

Every day is different and always very busy! In Agency Support we're always on standby to answer any last minute agency queries that come through, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with agencies old and new with the goal of better supporting our clients.

3. How does PayStream compare to your previous workplaces?

Despite how quickly the company is growing, and no matter how many new employees are introduced, the culture remains the same. I'm always having a laugh with my team!

4. What do you enjoy most about working at PayStream?

I really enjoy being able to speak to a wide variety of people every day, from directors at client level all the way down to the back office teams.

5. What would people be surprised to learn about you? 

Not sure if my name has given the game away... but I am half Irish.

6. What are your favourite things to do outside of work?

I enjoy playing rugby as well as having a few beers with my mates!
