Changes ahead for contractors living in Wales

From 6 April 2019, if you live in Wales, some of your Income Tax will be paid to the Welsh Government. The rates of Income Tax will be set by the Welsh Government.

HMRC are notifying those identified as a Welsh taxpayer in November 2018 so it is important that the information HMRC hold is correct and they know your current place of residence.

Please log on to your Portal and check your address is current and ensure that it is current on your HMRC Personal Tax Account (link to our previous article on this subject). More information can be found here:

Other than ensuring your address is correct there is no further action for all contractors using our services because HMRC will be making us aware of this through a coding notice pre April 19.
