Are you and your team of consultants up to speed with the changes coming in this April that will affect how contractors will be paid?
- From 1st April 2016 the new National Living Wage will mean all workers who are 25 years of age and over are entitled to a minimum rate of £7.20ph. This will affect the minimum rate a contractor can be paid through an umbrella provider.
- From 6th April 2016 the Government is implementing the new changes to Travel & Subsistence expenses for contractors. The changes will affect temporary workers being able to claim tax relief on their travel and subsistence expenses between the home and work place. For further information of how the Travel & Subsistence Legislation will affect temporary workers please see here.
- New rules aimed at salary sacrifice schemes also come into force in April which will change the way in which contractors can claim their expenses.
Our team of Client Relationship Managers have been visiting agencies and training consultants on various topics that they feel they need help and advice with, especially around the changes above. Our training sessions can cover anything from how our range of services can benefit you and your contractors, through to how you can manage the risks associated with the new legislation.
If you have any new or existing consultants that would benefit from further training on any of these topics then please contact your Client Relationship Manager or our agency support team at email@example.com
