However the introduction of the off-payroll working legislation in the public sector in April 2017, meant that he had to make the move to an umbrella service as he found himself working inside IR35. We caught up with him to find out how this transition went
For those who don't yet know, changes to off-payroll working in the private sector are coming into effect from April 2021. It means the private sector will essentially fall in line with the off-payroll working changes implemented in the public sector back in 2017, minus a few alterations here and there. As changes go, it's almost as big as Sol Campbell's transfer from Spurs to Arsenal in 2001.
