Here at PayStream we really do care about the welfare of our staff and we understand that promoting a balanced, secure workplace and providing support where needed is paramount. We try to boost conversation around the subject of mental health, so over time confidence will increase among employees and it will be significantly easier to talk about mental health.

We have taken steps to support mental health, as follows:

  • We have trained mental health first aiders who are on hand to provide immediate support, alongside signposting employees to organisations and healthcare services.
  • We ran a range of activities during Mental Health Awareness week in May this year and support the Green Ribbon Campaign
  • We also have a ‘health and wellbeing’ section on our PayStream Rewards portal, which gives employees tips and information on how to support their own well-being, for example money advice, debt management, virtual gym etc.
  • We provide discounted membership at our local gym.
  • Free fresh fruit is delivered every week
  • Furthermore, we have partnered with a confidential access to work support service, who help employees cope with work while managing a mental health condition. They offer tailored one to one advice and help build individual support plans, aiming to give employees “more good days”.

We also regularly take part in charity events to raise money for our charities – MIND & The Mental Health Foundation. Most recently we held a bake sale and raffle for World Mental Health Day on 10th October and raised a whopping £788 for our charities, which PayStream topped up to £1000.
