Natalie Thornley's PayStream journey

Natalie joined PayStream as a Client Relationship Manager in 2018, bringing with her a wealth of experience and abundance of personality! We wanted to find out a little more about Natalie and her PayStream journey.

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what brought you to PayStream?

I’ve been in sales since I was 18 with my first full time job being with the messenger newspapers. Since then I’ve had various different roles including recruitment for 2 and half years. After leaving recruitment I joined the umbrella world and eventually joined PayStream. All the agencies I worked with for my previous employer used Paystream, they had such a fantastic reputation that it was a company I wanted to be a part of.

2. What is a typical day at PayStream like?

Every day is different at PayStream which is another reason why I love my job so much. I am always busy out and about meeting clients, building relationships, training consultants on various topics including IR35 and also entertaining. I get to meet some amazing people along the way who want to do business with us as they know their contractors are in safe hands when they use PayStream and they will get a great service.

3. How does PayStream compare to your previous workplaces?

PayStream is by far the best company I have ever worked for. You are not just a number a PayStream, everyone is so friendly and helpful. We all have the same end goal which is to ensure our contractors and agencies receive an exceptional service from us. I have never worked for a company and such a great culture with some fantastic rewards.

4. What do you enjoy most about working at PayStream?

I love every part of my job but I do like meeting new people and building on relationships. I also enjoy working for PayStream as I feel valued for the work I do.

5. What would people be surprised to learn about you? 

That I have done cage diving with great white sharks whilst living in South Africa, I’ve also jumped out of a plane from 14,000 feet in Australia, I’m basically a bit of an adrenaline junkie.

6. What are your favourite things to do outside of work?

I love spending time with my family and friends when I’m not in work. I love travelling and seeing new and different parts of the world! I also enjoy a nice relaxing spa day every now and then too.
