Mary-Beth has been working at PayStream for a number of years, originally joining as a Customer Care Advisor. She’s since worked her way up to become a Customer Care Team Leader and helps with the day to day running of the Customer Care team. We wanted to find out a little more about Mary-Beth and her PayStream journey.

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what brought you to PayStream?

I’m originally from Northern Ireland (UPA Tyrone) and moved to Manchester for university. After graduating I decided I would stay on and started applying for jobs. PayStream seemed the best fit for me so I started in July 2015 and haven’t looked back since!

2. What is a typical day at PayStream like?

The majority of my time is spent managing my team and the customer care side of things. I also help out sometimes by testing updates to the systems the customer care team use.

3. How does PayStream compare to your previous workplaces?

Before coming to PayStream I had worked in retail since I was 16 so I’m just grateful to not be stood up for 8 hours.

4. What do you enjoy most about working at PayStream?

I really like working with my team and helping them develop. It’s so nice to work closely with someone and see them improve and get promoted.

5. What would people be surprised to learn about you? 

I go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week so underneath all this chunk I actually have some muscles. Little ones though… don’t get too excited!

6. What are your favourite things to do outside of work?

I love cooking and eating out. I’m really just a big fan of food in general. I also love watching films and trashy TV show’s (shout out to Judge Judy) and being around dogs. Any dogs. But never cats.
