Umbrella service contractors in the IT industry may want to look to Wales for new work, as a firm unveils plans to create 150 jobs at Caerphilly Business Park.

IT firm Attenda says nearly £2 million in Welsh government funding secured the move over competition from the Czech Republic.

The company, based in Staines, delivers IT support and infrastructure to businesses in the UK and abroad.

Welsh business minister Edwina Hart says the investment is a "welcome addition" to the IT sector in the country.

She explained how it is "a good example of a company that had a number of alternative locations to consider for their expansion but chose Wales because of the availability of a workforce with the relevant skills and a business environment where they can flourish".
