Limited company contractors could soon be required to fill new energy jobs in Hull following the announcement of plans to build a new Reality Energy Centre.
The new centre will be based at the King George Dock and is expected to create up to 250 new jobs, 35 of which will be long-term positions, the Hull Daily Mail reported.
Ray Tucker, chief executive officer of Real Ventures (Hull), claimed that the plans have been well supported, saying "Feedback from these venues in the form of written questionnaires was very positive and showed overwhelming support for the new centre with its green credentials."
The centre is expected to produce around 49 mega watts of green electricity and subject to planning permission, could see construction work start as early as next year.
In other news, jobseekers have been urged to improve their social media presence in order to attract prospective clients.
Citing LinkedIn as example, business advisor Ivor Kellock said that with more than 161 million people on the website across the world, the platform has huge networking potential.
